Lughnasadh: Celtic First Harvest Ceremony
Friday, August 2nd 7:00 - 9:30 pm
As the sun’s golden rays kiss the earth, we gather to honor Lughnasadh, the ancient Celtic festival that marks the first harvest. Join us for an evening of heart opening movement, healing breathwork, guided trance journey and meditation under the canopy of wise old oak trees in the forest.
What is Lughnasadh? Lughnasadh (pronounced Loo-nah-sah) hails from Irish legends, where the God Lugh and his foster mother, Tailtiu, intertwine their stories. It’s a time when the first fruits of the land are lovingly brought in, a dance of gratitude between humans and nature.
The Celtic wheel of the year turns. Lughnasadh is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals, nestled between the summer solstice and autumn equinox. During the height of summer, it’s a sacred pause—a moment to reflect on abundance, growth, and the interconnectedness of all life. $35 Adult/$70 Couple $10 kids (10 and over)
